I utterly despise the new name for the Guard, It is downright heretical madness. I refuse to buy the newer codexes and such unless they call it the Imperial Guard again. Astra Militarium is a stupid name which sounds more like a brand of breakfast cereal than an army name. Imperial Guard sounded better, more monumental, more Glorious. The new is bad and GW should feel bad. I am sticking to the past and 5th edition rules. GW can rot in Nurgle's garden.
ReplyDeleteOK... actually I like it. Since far too many organizations/orders/cults in the WH40k universe have Gothic names I find that such a change is consistent with the fluff. Nevertheless I'm more than certain that GW did this for commercial/marketing reasons
